Motul MoCool 500ml – Racing Cooling System Additive

Description

Motul MoCool is a concentrated cooling-system additive designed for motorcycles, cars, ATVs and other cooling systems operating under high temperatures or racing conditions. Mixed with distilled water at 5%, it improves thermal exchange and cooling-system efficiency while helping protect against corrosion and water-pump cavitation.

Motul MoCool

Motul MoCool is designed for applications where maximum cooling performance is important, particularly racing and high-temperature conditions.

Unlike a conventional ready-to-use coolant, MoCool is supplied as a concentrated cooling fluid and must be diluted before use. When mixed at the recommended 5% concentration, it helps improve heat transfer through the cooling system and can reduce operating temperatures in demanding conditions.

MoCool also provides corrosion protection for cooling-system components and helps protect the water pump against cavitation. It is suitable for systems containing aluminium, magnesium alloys, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze.

Mixing Ratio

MoCool must be diluted before use. Do not use the concentrate neat.

Recommended concentration:

5% MoCool / 95% distilled or deionised water

That’s approximately 20 parts water to 1 part MoCool.

For the 500ml bottle:

500ml MoCool + 9.5L water = approximately 10L of finished coolant mixture.

How To Use

1. Ensure the cooling system is completely cold.
2. Drain the existing coolant if replacing the coolant mixture.
3. Flush the system if required.
4. Mix Motul MoCool with distilled or deionised water at 5% concentration.
5. Fill the cooling system with the prepared mixture.
6. Bleed the cooling system according to the vehicle manufacturer’s procedure.
7. Check the coolant level after the engine has cooled.

MoCool can also be mixed with most monoethylene-glycol-based coolants, according to Motul.

Important Information

MoCool does NOT provide antifreeze protection.

It should therefore not be used where freeze protection is required unless the resulting mixture provides the necessary protection through another compatible coolant. If you are looking for freeze protection try our Motul Motocool Factory Line -35°C OR Motul Motocool Expert -37°C.

Some racing organisations require cooling systems to contain pure water only and may prohibit cooling additives. Always check the regulations for your particular race or event before use.

Motul MoCool
Concentrated racing cooling additive. Mix at 5% with water. No antifreeze protection.

Motul Motocool Factory Line -35°C OR Motul Motocool Expert -37°C
Ready-to-use racing coolant. Do not dilute. Provides antifreeze protection to -35°C or -37°C

For a normal coolant replacement where freeze protection is required, use a suitable ready-to-use coolant. MoCool is aimed more specifically at racing and high-temperature applications where improved cooling performance is the priority.
