Motul A3 Air Filter Oil is a high-performance adhesive oil specifically developed for foam air filters used in motocross, enduro, trail, ATV and other off-road motorcycles. Its tacky, water-resistant formulation helps trap dust, mud and sand while maintaining airflow to the engine.

A properly oiled foam air filter is one of the simplest ways to protect a motorcycle engine from dirt and abrasive particles.

Motul A3 Air Filter Oil is formulated to penetrate foam air filters and provide an adhesive coating that effectively retains dust, mud and sand before they can reach the engine. Its water-resistant formulation also helps prevent water from penetrating the filter when riding through wet conditions or water crossings.

The formulation is designed to maintain good airflow through the filter while providing effective dirt retention. It is also blue in colour, making it easier to see where the filter has been treated and helping ensure even coverage.

Motul A3 is particularly suited to motocross, enduro, trail, trials and ATV applications, where air filters are regularly exposed to dust, mud and water.

How To Use

For best results, clean the foam air filter thoroughly with Motul A1 Air Filter Clean before applying A3 Air Filter Oil.

1. Clean the foam filter and allow it to dry completely.
2. Place the clean filter in a suitable tray containing Motul A3 Air Filter Oil.
3. Allow the oil to penetrate thoroughly through the foam.
4. Remove the filter and gently press it to remove excess oil. Do not wring or twist the filter.
5. Allow the filter to stand for approximately 10 minutes before refitting.
6. For additional sealing, Motul recommends applying suitable grease around the filter rim and inside the airbox.
