Oil Injection or Premix?

One of the useful features of POWER1 ULTIMATE 2T is its suitability for both oil-injection and premix applications, where specified by the motorcycle manufacturer.

Oil Injection

For motorcycles equipped with a 2-stroke oil-injection system, use the oil according to the manufacturer’s recommended oil specification and reservoir procedure.

Do not premix fuel in an oil-injected motorcycle unless the manufacturer specifically requires or permits it.

Premix

For premix applications, mix POWER1 ULTIMATE 2T with petrol at the ratio specified by the motorcycle or engine manufacturer.

Castrol lists the product as suitable for premix applications up to 50:1, where appropriate. Always follow the engine manufacturer’s recommended ratio rather than automatically using 50:1.

JASO FD – Why It Matters

JASO FD is an important specification for modern 2-stroke motorcycle oils.

The JASO 2-stroke specification considers areas including lubrication performance, detergency and exhaust smoke. FD represents a high level of performance within the JASO 2-stroke specification and is particularly relevant for high-performance 2-stroke engines.
